I'm currently on a flight from LAX - JFK, and I'd like to detail the poor level of service that happened in the Business Elite cabin by the flight attendant. While I was upgrade from coach, I did purchase an "M" class fare that was pretty expensive to insure I was able to sit upfront as I normally enjoy the extra service that is provided on a Business Elite flight. I am greatly disappointed today as you will see.

#1 - the flight boarded EARLY & door 2 was used on the 757-200, so no coach class passengers were walking through the Business Elite cabin to get in the flight attendants way, yet no attempt was made to serve a pre departure beverage. The FA never asked, made any attempt to make the service or even announced a reason why no service was being offered. He just stood around and looked annoyed with something. Bottles of water were waiting for us but that's all there was.

#2 - no menu's were passed out or even offered. I do realize it's possible that catering didn't load any of the menu's forto the crew to pass out, but no mention of a menu was ever made and no apology for the lack thereof.

#3 - linen's were brought out after take-off, nuts and a drink (if you call 3 cubs of ice in a glass and a can of coke for me to pour myself) was finally served. Shortly thereafter all the food was brought out at once on the tray. I liken that to going to a restaurant and having your appetizer served with your main course, which is not acceptable, as I would have liked to enjoy my gravitas and fruit plate before having to consumer my main course, which was impossible to do and keep the main cours warm.

#4 - the great disappearing trick. I find this the most disappointing of all. After the food service was finished, the FA took the trays and disappeared.. Though I probably could have used the button to call the attendant I had to go up front to ask for a drink refill. When I got up front, I noticed he was surfin the internet on go-go with no regard for whats going on around him. I didn't think that FA"s were allowed to use their own personal computers DURING their work time surfing the internet.

#5. The snack basket was finally served. This service was the FA's first trip through the cabin after he picked up the last tray. While the basked was served there was no dialog from the FA asking if we needed anything or would like a drink refill, etc.

I am disappointed with this flight as I was unable to experience the true level of Business Elite that Delta markets. I expect a superior level of equipment, food and service when I'm in the Business Elite cabin that I, AND my fellow passengers, did not get this time.
