I got Royal Ambassador status at Intercontinental and therefore get's complimentary minibar. To be honest the thrill was larger the first couple of times and now I hardly touch the minibar anyway. However, I do believe that if I had paid a flat fee for "free" soft drinks, I would probably have consumed a lot more.
