The lounge at LM is gone, or at least it was when I stayed there over Christmas. They were providing drinks and snacks at the bar during cocktail hour for Plats, and continental breakfast credit in the restaurant.

I've been to LM twice, and visited Lagunamar on the last stay. The pool and beach area at Lagunamar is, IMHO, significantly nicer than at LM, but it is a much larger hotel, so it feels more impersonal, and the food at the one meal I ate there was significantly worse than at LM. I would probably lean toward LM, but there are arguments for both properties.
