Stayed at Le Meridian as a platinum, the lounge is excellent, strong drinks and good food, pool and beach is really nice, rooms immaculate.

But beware, there was construction going on next door, check TripAdvisor to see if it is still going on, it was pretty distracting.

Also stayed at the Westin right near the airport on the beach. Definitely was looking a little tired and it's really far from the rest of Cancun, which can be good/bad.
