I was just poking through some fares and whatnot looking up one or two things and I came across the oneworld RTW fares (at least ex-Australia) in my travels. I know it's blasphemy to speak of them here, but I was very interested to note that in all of those fares ex-Australia, right up to the ONE6 (6 continent) fare oneworld outdo Star Alliance in stinginess.

You are only allowed a maximum of TWENTY segments on any of those tickets! That's from their 26000 mile through to 34000 mile and continent based RTW fares.

I must admit I was quite amazed. It makes Star's 28 look really, really good!

I hadn't seen this angle covered in here before so thought I'd post it. I'm sure the folks on the oneworld forum are all over that one (I don't visit there) and maybe it's quite new, and maybe it's only on fares ex-Australia, but somehow I doubt that.

So just FYI the grass is not always greener on the other side.
