Tricky flight cancellation/"delay" compensation question...

I was recently booked on WAW-WRO and the 13:00 flight was cancelled, with all passengers moved to the next available (14:40) flight on the same route.

Technically it's just a 1:40h "delay" to the next flight, but it was a flight cancellation.

Now being a good sport I'm not going to claim, especially since I got bumped several months back on my last LO flight to LHR as KF *G which was a nice surprise ^ , but in a case like this does compensation to the tune of 125 Euro apply?

Normally it's 250 Euro halved due to being rerouted and arriving within 4 hours of the original scheduled time, but in this case it wasn't really a rerouting but just being moved to the next available flight...
