The zip-ties were about 6 inches long; the TSO said I could chain them together to get enough length to immobilize someone.
Wow, that's amazing. Lady Gaga flew commercial last year
with handcuffs attached to her belt. There was a mild furor and
TSA announced that it was okay to travel with handcuffs, since you couldn't do any damage with them.
