Unfortunately, I have no contacts at all in Bangalore. I've never been there. I left the plane in Kolkata. The phone wasn't found until the flight terminated in Bangalore. If I had a friend there, I would be happy for them to retrieve it for me.
I've e-mailed them a copy of my passport and boarding pass (at their request) and my Fedex account number and address. I've also offered to pick up the phone at the Hong Kong airport from their office (provided they can get the phone here by Monday since I leave Tuesday morning) if they can just put it on their flights to here.
I did write a nice polite e-mail thanking them very much for finding the phone and letting them know how much I appreciate their efforts (and I do!)
I think your best bet is through your fedex account. Though as I mentioned in a previous post, courier companies based in India get a bit twitchy if the package contains a mobile phone. Even DHL refused to take a mobile phone at DEL last month.
