Okay, and using your example, to qualify for Club Diamond, all I would have had to fly is 100,000 miles between August 2000 and September 2003 on any *A carrier, correct? (Pretending, for a moment, that OZ has been a Star Alliance carrier for that long.)
Seems too good to be true.

Most likely, I could redirect my excess UA and LH miles above 50k to OZ and earn 100k in less than 36 months -- meaning *A Gold status (and domestic RCC lounge access) for three years.
