if I gather 100k miles between 2003 and 2006, then I am a *G (Asiana Diamond) member from 2006 to 2009?? And during 2006 to 2009 I need only to gain 40k miles to retain my membership through 2012??</font>
Once a member achieves an Elite status level, the benefits of the current status terminates immediately and the benefits of the new status shall automatically apply and run for three years from that date. Let me give you an example: You qualify for Asiana Club Diamond in September 2003, your status end in August 2006. During these 36 months you need 40k miles (class of service bonus included) for requalification. If you fulfil these requirements your status will go through August 2009 (if there is no program changes!). Failure to requalify will result in a downgrade to Gold (= *A silver).
