Depends is the answer. You get 300% miles for flying in First with LH Miles and more so to get to SEN (and lounge access) in their program you would have to fly 33334 miles in First Class (on any Star airline) to get to SEN status. Good thing--lasts for at least two years.

You get 150% for flying in first with AC Aeroplan. To get to Elite (and lounge access) in their program you would have to fly 23334 in first to get Elite status (good for at least one year).

You get 100% for flying in discount or full econo (non-domestic) with AC. To get to Elite this way, you would have to fly 35000 miles in econo non-domestic to get Elite.

You get 50% for flying in discount domestic on AC. Getting to Elite this way means you have to fly 70000 miles in discount domestic econo to get Elite.

AC has the lowest initial elite status mileage required of any star program but, depending on your flying patterns, you may find better deals.
