As for Colombo, I'm unsure whether I can make it there and back in 3 hours (9:30 - 12:30). Negombo is closer, that's why I thought about Negombo.
I'll make sure to try out street vendors - I assume it's like everywhere else, long lines = high turnover = fresh food ?
