Please can somebody help on the following 2 queries:

My parents are planning a trip from UK to USA using BA miles. They want to fly into one US city and then return from another.

I cannot see how they can book this online. Does this mean they will be required to pay the offline booking fee? I have seen some comments on the forum suggesting that BA sometimes waive this fee in these circumstances.


Also - is it possible to include an internal flight by making the outbound trip include a stopover ?

For example - fly London to Washington DC return via Boston (or other combinations that may work ?)


Outbound - London to Boston
Followed by Boston to Washington DC internal flight

The return would be - Washington DC to London


Do you have any thoughts please?
