This is how I see it:

Bellman: Hello Sir, Staying with us?
Pretended Guest: Yes.
BM: Let me help you with your luggage Sir.
PG: Thank you.
BM: Here's the ticket for your luggage.
PG: Thank you and have a good day + tipping.

PG goes in the Westin and have a good walk in the hotel for a minute then walk out. (I say the Westin cuz that's the only one I've been in Paris).

Then just come back later and pick it up.
