Vienna - Sixt - through economy car rentals
Hello,
I have paid a booking confirmation amount on economycarrentals.com, and got a
B Economy A/C
Ford Fiesta, Citroen C3
( or similar )
car for a period for 9 days.
Pick up is in Vienna (end august) and drop is in salzburg airport.
In the US, normally one class upgrade is given, esp if you purchase insurance.
For this rental also I would like to purchase "Collision damage waiver + Tire and windshield damage insurance).
I am okay with a excess of 300 EU on collision damage, but tire and windshield damage is a must.
So what are my chances of an upgrade?
I will try and get a diesel (doing lot of driving in switzerland, some italy, germany) due to better fuel efficiency.
But I am hoping we would get a nicer diesel (90 hp atleast).
Our pickup is around 8am, so I guess its too early for them to run out of cars, but since its the beginning of the week, they may run out of all small cars.
Another worry, they upgrade me to a petrol BMW or something (will hike the trip expense to the roof).
So whats your experience with sixt vienna, what are the common cars in their fleet.
I think those cars will have the Austrian toll sticker, but if I am lucky, its possible to get a car with the Switzerland sticker already attached? Or am I hoping too much. Anyways, it would mean 40 CHF extra for me if the car does not have the sticker.
So any suggestions on what insurance to purchase(my CC only has personal accident insurance for me and my co-passenger).
The rate says third party insurance is already there in the car.
I would also like to ask whether the car will be equipped with the orange jackets and the warning triangle. Anyways, I will be carrying the safety jackets with me. Orange or Green? Or it does not matter?
Any extra tips you will like to give me?
