MPM (Maximum Permitted Miles) On Award Ticket
I brought a friend over from Europe on an award ticket.

She wants to modify the return portion to take the (permitted) free stopover in MIA. Delta says "no", that would exceed the MPM of 6,375 miles.

Does MPM apply to award tickets? If so, am I correct that the mileage to compare to the MPM is the actual mileage for each segment actually flown?
