Yes I do. I was actively trading the market up till a few years ago when we decided to call it quit and changed our focus to the leisure parts of the life, i.e. made multiple extended trips a year. Since then the investments are much more passive that do not require close attention, neither from me nor the assistance / facilitation of the brokers.

I am complaining because Fidelity does not apply its policy across the board.

I totally accepted that we cannot participate promotion for New Customers. However there are numerous reports on this thread that people are getting 3 promos - First AA or UA, followed by DL and MR despite there seemingly needs to have a time laps between the DL and MR promo - the total promo offers rec'd still are THREE in case you know how to count. Therefore, the excuse Fidelity chat rep gave me about only TWO promos are allowed per customer is a complete LIE. I am sure even you would agree THREE does not equal to TWO.

I will. I haven't decided to call the generic Investment Representative dept or the personal broker at our local office. The personal broker just called me less than 2 weeks ago because our account was assigned to him - obviously the previous guy who had our account was no longer there. Though I have never had any need to get help from the previous guy anyway.

We have TWO such C1 accounts already, at the suggestion of C1 rep in order to get full FDIC coverage - though I am not 100% it would because C1 rep told me the 2nd account is under different C1 banK - Capital One Bank NA, versus the 1st Account is under Capital One Bank (USA) NA - at least that seemed the way when he opened the 2nd account for us - because the NA entity can get paper statement while the (USA) NA entity is 100% online only. Also the 100% online only version could only opened by customers themselves online, the phone rep could not open this for customer. So I thought they were indeed in TWO different C1 entities - but it turns out the 2nd account is still listed under (USA) NA - therefore defeats the purpose to open a 2nd account.

However this is a trivial matter as there would not be another crisis a la 2008 fashion and Capital One is actually a much stronger bank when compared to BofA, Citi, and Wells Fargo if you ever study their financials.

We also have the C1 checking account which is the working account for most everything - it is linked to every other accounts - banks, brokerage, and credit cards. That checking account current rules have a cap of 100K deposit earns a guaranteed 1.01% for a full year, balance above 100K earns 0.75%. Each SSN can have ONE such checking account just so you know. Our current account was opened before C1 put in such restrictions on the balance cap but still subj to the 1 year rate guarantee. However C1 rep said when it comes to the 1 year mark later this year, we can simply open another one with spousal's SSN as the primary SSN and takes care of the cap.

In case you are interested, I am informed by an FTer that his bank has a checking account that could earn up to 2.5% APY with $75,000 balance, above that the rate drops of course. It is 1.5% basic + 2 x 0.5% bonus for performing some banking functions. Not sure such small potato amount would even interest you who are in the Million $ league.

You got it wrong. All I want is a FAIR treatment - I dont ask for AA or UA miles - those are for New Customers. I want to be able to participate the promos for existing customers, and there are definitely folks reported they received all THREE promos - AA, MR & DL - this means the Fido Chat Rep's statement about customers are only entitled to TWO promos a total LIE.

There are people who have very little money in their accounts, as little as between $50 to $5000, and they received all 3 Promos. I am quite happy for those who were able to do that - it seems to me those who have been able to pull this off, all are somehow got passed the system check - i.e. do not receive Ineligible Letter for whatever reason - and I notice most have their accounts set up within last 2 years - it looks to me probably the bonus received from last year was not coded into their accounts - else they would not receive ALL THREE Promos if the Fido Chat Rep's claim of TWO Promo Limit is not a LIE.

Again you got it ALL WRONG. You also have a habit to only quoted others for the portion that you feel is advantageous to your argument, but cut off the parts that are also part of the post even though the portion you quoted actually led to the other parts for a totally different view point that you try to spin.

For example, you conveniently left out the second part of hgly2001's post that I highlighted.

I've found Fidelity reps to be pretty useless as a matter of fact.
You also insist that I want Fidelity to fix the loophole while all along I am telling people Fidelity has no software in place to fix it - so get it while you still can. Why you insists to fabricate my intention? BTW it reminds me your lengthy arguments with others on the value of DL Skypeso that you continuously put your views upon others who do not agree with yours. But I digress.

If you want to quote me or others, PLEASE Quote the FULL CONTEXT instead of just the piece you can twist the meaning around to suit your needs. Thank You.

For the records, I only want Fidelity treats everyone fairly - if others entitle to, and actually receive, THREE Promos, (even with minimal asset values), why our account can only receive TWO promos - which were in 2006, 5 years ago, when people are getting all 3 promos even in this year?

Didn't you admit yourself receive AA promo in just 2 years ago on two accounts? You also have individual accounts for husband and wife separately, and each account receives promo offers, right?

I have not gamed the system by opening 2 individual accounts for each spouse - we always have JT accounts despite this means we often miss out on promos because we never get 2 x - C'est la Vie. I do feel I am wronged when I play by the rules then still gets the short end of the stick.
