BMI rather randomly has offered everyone in our company (~450 employees in the UK) Silver status, prompting a friend to email me 5min later if there was a way that he could short shares in the company.

Bit of a surprising move - though useful for any of my colleagues who might want *A membership.

BA have allegedly offered complimentary Silver status to our senior team for a while, but I'd expect almost all of them would qualify as Silver at the minimum in any case.
