Same booking class, different amount of points
It was interesting to read how many points BA card holder will get compared with AY card holder from the same booking class.
Flying with Finnair, would give to BA card holder e.g. in economy class the following points: 100% for classes Y,B,H,T,K,M,P and for the rest 50% of the points.
Flying with Finnair, would give to AY card holder 100% of the points only in booking classes Y,B,H and the rest 50%.
Flying with BA, would give to AY card holder 100% of the points from booking classes Y,B,H,T,E,W.
Being AY Platinum card holder and hoping for the best for Finnair, I still really wonder do Finnair want to get rid of their frequent flyers by both reducing dramatically, during past year, number of given points as well as changeing the ticketing rules.
Today e.g. to be able to secure an economy seat (that I have to use) for BKK flight (business travel will be confirmed appr. 2 weeks before departure) the cost of the flights is appr. 3700e. Earlier Finnair had K booking class, from where you got 100% of points, ticketing was 14 days before departure and price around 2000e. Also, even you would book an economy flexi-ticket, it would not give you 100% of the points if not being this appr. 3700e booking class.
Unfortunately, I cant understand the strategy Finnair has at the moment.
