I recently flew BOS-YVR in paid J. Show up at "the" AC designated lounge (LH) at 6am for a 730 flight, and see that it's empty. Show the guard dog my ticket (very politely) and she tells me that the lounge is only for those in possession of the following: DC/MLL / E / SE. So I plead with her, saying that BOS-YVR is the same duration as BOS-LHR, that I got up at 4 am, and that I’ll have a 24-hour day, in addition to telling her that I’m paying J! She won't budge, only I'm not prepared to go hungry for the next hour and a half. Just then, someone walks in, and right when I'm about tell him my story (thinking that he may invite me in as a guest – not something I'd normally think is appropriate, but given the circumstances, including my fare class) and the lounge dog yells at me to leave, threatening me, etc...

Message for AC: great way to treat your J pax, especially if they're flying with you BOS-YVR-HKG.

Message to *A: get your act together.

Message to the people of Germany: I am truly sorry if people get the wrong impression of your beautiful and warm country if this is the first and only German they meet.
