For those of us whose employers require Y class travel and look for the E and SE perks as a small way to make extended travel bearable, the rumoured loss of contract lounge access is another reason not to be loyal to one airline or allience. How far behind this will be restictions to MLL access?

I don't think that there will be any one loss of privaledge (perk) that will result in loss of loyality. However with the eroding of perks I'm sure that one by one flyers will consider the alterniatives.
