I actually flew in first class on a BAC One-Eleven. The carrier was Braniff (BN) and the routing was LIT-FSM-TUL-DAL. I was traveling on a 50% "Youth Fare" (remember them?) and I was bumped up into F in LIT as Y was full (I had originated in MEM).

The years flew by and I found myself flying on the One-Eleven once again via several trips on Pacific Express. Routings were SBA-BFL-SFO, SFO-SBA, PSP-LAX and several other flights within California as well....

I always enjoyed the distinctive sounds of the Rolls Royce engines on that neat little British twin jet.....
