I have booked by flight to Orlando with BA flying from Heathrow, my questions are:
1. Will the flight be as busy as "normal" flights from LHR?
2. The carry on baggage limit is 25kgs, is that correct? As this will be my first time flying long distance with BA, previously Virgin had exclusive rights to my flights, however in June they decided to start weighing checked baggage and I had to place valuables into the hold (I am a photographer) so I was a little wary about checking my expensive gear, luckily my parents were with me so I managed to move kit around so i was under their 6kg limit.

Normally camera kit weighs in a 11 - 12 KGs, so I hope I can carry all of my gear by carry on using a Pelican 1610 hardcase which fits inside the dimensions of the carry on specifications, I'm assuming as long as its in those guidelines I can fly with any type of bag be it a softish luggage bag or a hard case.

The MCO flight goes from LGW.
This far out it's difficult to say how busy the airport will be. But BA at LGW usually only have long haul flights on Christmas Day.
The absolute maximum hand baggage allowance is 23kg (not 25kg). However, that's a considerable weight and we don't encourage people to take that much in hand luggage. It must fit within the sizes as shown on ba.com. You must also be able to lift it in the overhead locker unaided, ie. by yourself!
