FWIW, I was offered a $699 upgrade from JFK-LHR a few months ago. I declined since it was on my own dime and I thin the upper deck CW seat are pretty much the cat's meow. I ended up being the only pax on the UD on the last BA flight out of JFK that night. Slept the whole way!
