I sent an initial email complaint on Friday through the link from his Hhonors account page, but haven't heard back. This morning I sent another through the contact us link for guest relations issues. (I didn't really know where to send it, we've never had a complaint in the past).

I appreciate the opinions being shared. I don't like to complain, and didn't want to be complaining about something that would be considered 'not worthy'. I do feel that Hilton didn't meet their end of the bargain in this situation, and I'm hopeful they see it the same way.

I didn't ask for specific compensation, but did suggest that I'd (he'd) like points or something to show good faith on Hilton's part for not meeting their end of the contract of the prepaid reservation.
