Fraudulent or duplicated boarding passes could be used by imposters to get onboard aircraft at Canadian airports, a potential weakness that could be exploited for “attacks,” a government review says.
Transport Canada is urging the agency that oversees airport screening to take steps to better verify the identities of passengers.
One measure, known as positive passenger identification, would see screeners ensuring that the name on a boarding pass matches a passenger’s ID.
