I don't understand why IC says that there is a new rule saying government is not allowing guests to be met prior to immigration, because such service still exists. Could it be that IC hotel itself that does not have the permit to do so, while there are other independent services that offer meet/greet/visa assistance? You won't be waiting in an air-conditioned lounge while waiting for your luggage/visa to be processed, but at least with this service you'll by pass the (sometimes long) line.

We were mad, my father more than me, but it turns out just a month earlier government changed law so they couldn't greet their guests any more and do that for them. Not there fault other than the lack of notification, although a small part of why we chose that hotel.
