Is it just me or is AC having more maintenance issues of late? I just completed YVR-YYZ-NAS in paid J with my family of four and there were multiple issues. It started off with my pod in 1K having a malfunctioning seat, which would not recline. Went to the J lav on the same flight, and the sink was completey taped over with sign saying "sorry for the inconvenience". Went to the other J lav and same taped up sink with same sign. When I asked the FA what to do, she said I could go to the Y lavs as the sinks there were working.
Got settled on the YYZ-NAS flight and was welcomed by the announcement that the IFE was not working for the whole plane for the entire flight. With two little kids, not having IFE does make things a little more difficult.
All these maintenance issues did make me feel like I didn't get full value for my paid J tix. I did send a complaint to AC so we'll see.
As an aside we're at Atlantis having a blast. Casey Anthony's parents are here of all people... they seem to have moved on rather quickly.
