After reading your initial thread, I do indeed think you were in the right on the $100 and the EEO. I have had that happen to me before as well: checking into a Marriott on the weekend, using an EEO-qualifying rate booked via the Plat line, and noticed that the front desk had moved me over to a group rate for a wedding I was attending.
I honestly don't think the clerk was trying to hose me: I think they had a list of people getting gift bags for the wedding, saw my name on it, saw I was paying $10/nt. above the group rate, and thought they were doing me a favor. The EEO seems to be loaded in the system as a comment only - they always have to adjust the bill at the hotel itself - so I can see where a clerk just saw it as two nights at a higher rate. Fortunately, mine was easily straightened out at check-in and was a non-issue.
(Sidebar: even if you're attending on a group rate, you don't lose your bed type guarantee, do you?)
But as for this weekend, I'm guessing it's just a technical issue. Relax...take the upthread advice and have another glass of rum.
