One thing to consider (for the future) is that sometimes it is worth booking outbound and return itineraries separately, especially if booked online (where you won't incur two service charges). Downside is if you cancel the whole trip, you'll be slugged for two cancellation fees, upside you have more flexibility on the return portion if booked separately.
