This was my only CC dispute with Marriott. It was only for the $100, but I am thinking any dispute would trigger the freeze. I pay $500 in annual fees for Marriott Credit Card so it wasn't that I needed the money, it was the pt of plat guarantee being laughed at.

and no.. I'm Plat Premier & SPG Plat so I have stayed in many Marriott/hotels without issue. Usually my e-mails are praising properties, employees, or cs reps. The only other time I really had a complaint at Marriott was when I booked a courtyard which closed unexpectedly (to build a new hotel) and 1/2 the people got moved to the Marriott, the other in limbo. I sent an email since I already had plane tickets,it was xmas, and got put in the Marriott luckily and now a freq guest there.

I am trying for lifetime plat so what scares me is how quickly they can take something away like that. you would think they would contact you on the phone first.
