I booked a stay at Ko Olina via a travel aggregator site, and said site made no mention of the self-parking fee. After much wrangling, the hotel caved and removed the charge, as they should have. While it may be right to say that parking fees ensure the beach near the hotel is not crowded, that doesn't change the fact that few guests are aware of, or expect the self-parking fee before being billed for it.

Not sure why it was the right thing to do when the error was on the aggregator's website, being an aggregator the hotel most likely didn't even know their inventory was listed on it (there are thousands of sites out there that scrape the inventory from various places leaving the hotels no opportunity to validate it)
