I've driven often in Italy - but would NEVER drive in India.

I've never been to Agra, but the advice I've heard time after time from friends who've made the journey is to get the train (I understand a few seats are kept back for tourists who book late) and to just get a car in Agra.

To stay or not stay, is a different question.
