I'm guessing that if it's raining, they're worried about people slipping. However, what they should point out to their insurers is that the reduction in likelihood of a discarded cigarette starting a fire in the rain is a reduction in liability which should cancel out the increase in potential slip-related litigation.

We can use RCC shower on arrival at LHR providing we do a big circular security thing. Hurrah for that. Does anyone know where the UA arrivals facility is? Would it be possible to try to blag entry to that, and then return to RCC if turned down?
There is one place that we can smoke at one of 2 UA terminals at LAX providing it is sunny.

Anyone know about smoking at EWR or SFO? Or showers at EWR?
