Good point. It's a japanese made Kawai, which I think is more resistant to humidity changes than most pianos...with regards to surving the move: it's been moved quite a few times already and done OK. Pianos get shipped internationally all the time, so I presume as long as the company we use is fine, that shouldn't be an issue.
And Boston in summer can be almost as humid and hot as BJ (but one can see the sky, which we'll miss!).

Since I'm from Boston, I feel compelled to call you on this point. Beijing is less comfortable than Boston during the summer. But, the air quality is pretty nice today.
