Still new to car rentals, and this time I'm going with Avis. I was planning on an intermediate (Chevy Cruze or similar) but I noticed there's no mention of cruise control. The compact and standard class both mention cruise control though.

I don't want to take for granted that the intermediate will have cruise control, but I was wondering if it's safe enough to book, then downgrade or upgrade if the car they give me doesn't have it after all? I'm trying to nail down a reasonably sized car with the best mileage and cruise control, and if I know for sure the intermediate won't have CC, I'll probably book the standard so I won't have to deal with the hassle of urgently having to switch to a different class.
