Did the same re-route once in 2009. But I was in UA upgraded F and got transfered to LH F. I was at the LH DXB gate frantically on the line with GS getting them to finalize the ticket as LH was waiting to close the door. I actually think I held up a 747 for about 3 minutes in the process.
