DXB-IAD 977 delayed from early am to 2:56 pm. Pax stacked up at transfer desk mostly getting hotels. I was protected on Lufthansa to Frankfurt and then onward to IAD on both UAL and LH. UAL 917 cancelled so it was finally Lufthansa all the way. SWU was respected in rebook to C on LH. It was not easy as there was confusion at UAL about the LH reservation and neither the local UAL rep nor the 1K desk was aware 917 was cancelled. I got it on easy update. Great job in the end but it took a lot of work and a long stand in line. Sitting back in the DXB LH lounge waiting for the flight to be called.

Update: Arrived in Frankfurt ahead of schedule to an easy update message saying the DXB-IAD flight is now delayed to 4:20. Anybody want to speculate on what's going on?
