I'm concerned that 1 hour and 32 minutes simply isn't enough time, even though the minimum international connection time at IAH is 1 hour.
1. My flight arrives at Terminal A, except I'll have to take a bus from a turboprop to the terminal. The Lufthansa flight leaves in Terminal D across the airport.
2. Isn't Lufthansa more likely to bump me from my flight to Frankfurt since I'm flying codeshare with a student ticket? Especially considering I will probably be one of the last passengers to show up.
Besides this one connection, the flight is very desirable compared to other similarly-priced routes. I've connected domestic at IAH before in only 34 minutes, but that was on a domestic flight and the terminals were right next to each other. Is an hour and a half enough time to get across the airport and make it to my international flight, or should I book a flight on another airline with a longer connection time?
P.S. I've noticed Continental is very bad about connections. Another flight I found at IAH gives you only 46 minutes to get from A to D!
All the terminals are connected airside by a train. 1:32 is plenty if your SHV flight isn't delayed.
I don't see why LH would want to bump you. If the flight is oversold they'll take volunteers first.
Book it, you'll be fine.
