It may well work some of the time for some of the people. Which is great.

But then there will be supply issues. Maybe a fire near LHR in the catering area. This would mean the meal cant be delivered. Airlines dont want the hassel of having to deal with refunds. They arent very good at dealing with disapointment resulting in something out of their hands causing difficulties.
