I do it all the time. It's just the website that automatically prevents booking any same day return with less than 60 minutes at the turn around point or a multi-city booking also with less than 60 minutes between end points. This is the case even though you can select presented options for each leg that may involve very short connections. It's absurd.

Expedia and Bing cashback to the rescue. I do sometimes run into a problem with actually making that 60 minute connection at my turn-around point but that's always been WX or ATC related. And I get rebooked swiftly.
