You can avoid fees AND acquire miles. ^The previous posters all gave good advice.
If you have a Cap 1 Vantage card you can add your daughter as an authorized user. No fx AND you get 2 pts per mile.
If you opened any Chase cards, such as Saphire, BA,Priority Club, they will give you miles or points, and also save you with no fx .
