Great rule if any of the ice maiden door keepers can ever be convinced it is correct.

Why on earth would they offer this I wonder? We fly next month from USA to Santiago Chile on United and connect on Lan Chile to Easter Island same day. Wonder why we would gain access to a Star lounge in that instance when a OW carrier has the business? Strange. As it happens we are in pointy end on Lan Chile, but if we were not this rule would be a life saver.
