I, too, was robbed!

I did not stay at this property. We actually stayed at the Marriott Harbour Lakes. We also are long-time Marriott owners and have enjoyed many vacations with Marriott. We are now very disappointed with Marriott and will never buy properties again with them. When we checked into this property, we were given the wrong room and tried to make due. Our son was having difficulty sleeping on the hideaway, so we the next day we asked if we could move rooms so that we could have our original request. The front desk was able to accomodate this (even though they couldn't the day before) and so we began to move our stuff. On the final trip back, to get the rest of our stuff, housekeeping had already stripped most of the room. We hadn't even turned in our keys yet. They were not suppose to be in our room until we had moved. My camera was gone (it was an expensive camcorder with a years worth of videos on it). I was devastated. We too were referred to Loss prevention which in turn, sent it to their insurance. Of course, insurance (Liberty Mutual) said they couldn't do anything about it because the housekeepers said they had never seen a camcorder. After hearing this, I went to Corporate and talked to them. They said they couldn't do anything about it since the insurance wasn't going to do anything about it. Okay?!

We filed a police report and did everything that I could think to do. It is a shame that Marriott has no customer service that would even try to do anything - no compensation whatsoever. Needless to say, we will never recommend Marriott ownership to anyone again.
