When I can't think of anything to buy, I just buy what I'm going to end up needing in the future anyway.

For example, I get $40 in Staples gift cards every now and then. What I end up doing is go to the cleaning and supplies section to stock up on bottled water, toilet papers, disinfectant wipes, kitchen cleansers, etc. You'd be surprised how much household supplies you can buy with a $40 Staples gift card. And it's not like bottled water or toilet paper has an expiration date like fruits and veggies, but you do end up replenishing them every now and then.

Besides, there's nothing that says toilet paper sold at Staples can't be used at home.
