I was at this property on the night of the 27th and they were still having trouble. I checked in OK, but a large (10 member) airline crew was in the elevator with me and were upset that this was their third trip up due to finding occupied rooms.
I got a photocopied form apology letter form the GM of Santa Clara under my door before I left on Wednesday, btw. It had his email and I wrote him. This whole incident is really, really embarrassing. Especially if you were the one who selected that hotel for a business group, then watched your hotel fall apart.
