member since 199x when it was "by invitation only". I guess I am reasonably happy with it.

Canadian AMEX Platinium card members have free access to Plaza Premium Lounges in YVR.

The PPL in YYZ, HKG, KUL do not charge for alcohol. The bars are self-serve. I would be extremely surprised if those in YVR are different.
