I wouldn't take the seat because the bulk of the exit door (presumably where the exit chute is tucked away inside the door) can impede on your leg room. So you'd have to place your feet slightly to the side and not directly in front of you when you want to recline.
That's the theory, but in dozens of flights in this seat I really haven't found that to be an issue (I'm about 5'11). It really is a very slight angle you have to sit at.
