The food is consistent in Y. You flew a 767-300ER, which will be getting IFE and seat upgrades over the next couple of years. Other planes are better (767-400, 777, A330, even some of the 757-200s).

On top of that: 1 checked bag per person, 5 dollar beers, rancid air the entire flight, and 80-dollar upgrades to reserved emergency exit seats
Beer should have been free. Hard liquor is $5 (or is it $7)?

The $80 upgrade is to "Economy Comfort" seating, with additional legroom, early boarding, and free hard liquor. If you fly enough to get status, these seats become cheaper or free. Charges for this sort of seat are pretty common across all carriers.

Aside from that, their customer service was fantastic before boarding and the attendants were humane for the most part.
Delta CS does tend to be above average for US airlines.

Should I cut it in half, or will they be upgrading their fleet in the next weeks?
For sufficiently large values of "weeks"
