That said, I have little interaction with the front desk once checked in. Timo/Vanessa are great in the lounge. The lounge doesn't compare with Asia lounges but it is quite good compared to the EU and US. The lounge won't replace dinner but it's enough to get you happily through your Pils, sparkling, or other.

Which Marriott are you comparing to? Messe? I'm sorry but the WG Frankfurt is clearly superior though Champs Bar in the hotel and Jimmy's (nearby) can be fun if you've got a lot of colleagues around.
There is only 1 Marriott in Frankfurt City i think. The food at their lounge is excellent.. And the last time i stayed at the hilton fra there was filet-steak in the evening at the lounge.

The soup at Westin was nice and staff in executive lounge was also nice.
They close at 10pm but food was still available until 10pm really good.
Checkout was good experience too. Very nice guy at check-out.
